MARNEEN LYNNE FIELDS WINS 2016 SONG OF THE YEAR (Runner-Up) WITH "I'VE NEVER EVER STOPPED LOVING YOU"

Fantastic new single from Marneen Lynne Fields. She has really outdone herself this time, terrific vocals and lovely production, great job! I am very proud and impressed! Produced by Steve Valenzuela (sound engineer on Kelly Clarkson's "Catch My Breath"), the song has a great vocal delivery that mixes parts of Ann Wilson (Heart) and Janis Joplin with some cool vocal phasing effects as it lays over an instrumental that is both crisp and clean yet also has some nice subtle hints of underground/garage rock. And like a lot of Marneen's music, it has a very cinematic quality that could easily see it incorporated into a feature film soundtrack. Wonderful song and performance from her. I really like some of the tones you find on this track, and the modulation. You can tell the lyrics and inspiration behind the song mean a lot to her. Terrific job on the CD cover by India artist, Raigon Stanley as well, perfectly reflects the song I think. It is one of those song that grows and grows on you and then stays with you (in a good way) for a long time afterwards. ENJOY the song here on Vimeo. If you leave a review or comment message Marneen with your e-mail for a free download of the song. https://vimeo.com/181001794

Enjoy this review done by film and music journalist, Michelle Alexander. Former pioneering Hollywood stuntwoman, actress and now multi-talented singer-songwriter Marneen Lynne Fields’ latest single, ‘I’ve Never Stopped Loving You’ is an immaculately produced and wonderfully addictive pop-rock track. Fields’ sultry, earthy vocals have a welcome touch of chanteuse Marcella Detroit, emoting her words in a heartfelt, passionate, at times playful way. The instrumental backup amalgamates perfectly with Fields’ distinct voice; soaring keyboards, poignant piano, punchy guitar. These, plus Fields’ lyrics all combine to create a wonderfully memorable, unique and touching single. With an equally impressive body of musical work, here’s hoping that Marneen will soon release a much-anticipated album - Michelle Alexander, Chelle's Inferno.

ENJOY this review done by Ireland's award winning short story author, Richard Gibney. This singer’s trademark style is the vibrato. At times soaring, at times oh-so-quiet, the warbling tones are emotionally compelling, vulnerable and powerful in ways that makes you sit up and take notice. I loved this singer’s cover version of REM’s Everybody Hurts for the same reasons. This is a standard in an unconventional sense, a minor key, strangely lachrymose triumph. Its uniqueness gives one the urge to listen again, and then the song’s fine qualities grow on you, listen after listen. The simplicity of the words are like a 70s love song, but the personal touches to those same lines – a cottage across town, the removal of necklaces (suggesting perhaps the freeing from the shackles of a relationship in one respect) – highlight again the wonderfully unconventional nature of the singer’s vision. She’s a musically astute songwriter and singer – and she is avant-garde in the best sense.

ENJOY a look at the design I did for Marneen that will also be used in various promotions.

MARNEEN FIELDS SAG ACTRESS AND POP-ROCK SINGER UPDATE

I had a wonderful time being featured at the Australia Film Fare recently. I'm gearing up for the biggest years of my career in entertainment as I celebrate my 40th year as a SAG actress this December, along with two books about my life and career being published in 2017. Please like my book page Cartwheels & Halos: The True Marneen Lynne Fields Story here. Also at the bottom I've posted the link to my Marneen Fields: SAG Actress-Director and Ex-Stuntwoman page. I have so much exciting news coming off several major music awards and the release of two new singles before the end of the year, along with a new music video for my "I've Never Ever Stopped Loving You." A surprise everyone is going to love is a first look at a new reel I'm editing that showcases highlights from five recent SAG acting roles, one being the lead voice role as Tiffany Libutti, an ex-marine with a Ph.D in physics in Dwayne Conyers new science fiction series Galactic Blitz. I also landed a great role as Lanie a strung out cocaine addict trapped in a bad marriage in Shonathen Lindsey and Ed Magik's "Coke Girl," the role of Barbara Anguilo a mobster's wife in Thomas Hennessy's "Whitey," and the reoccurring role of Bubbles, the owner of the strip club in Muriel Campbell's "Pink Slip." Not only do I have the lead singer and actress role in five major music videos but I've also created a couple of lead actress-singer roles in major productions that I star in, "Kathryn Davis - Take 2," a pilot for a prime time TV series, and "Diva at the Beauty Salon," both loosely based on my life today as a middle-aged actress and pop-rock singer. I play these roles in the trailers and music video but don't know if I'll stay on in the roles if they sell. I have several more, but here are two more, the role of Marge the waitress and mother of "Johnny Hawk," in my LACA award winning "Johnny Hawk AKA Hard Nuts to Crack," and the role of nurse Kate in my true drama "A Lost and Found Gem," co-written by Ruby Marie Farris-Fields.  There's no time like the present for me, it's a very exciting time.
